In any little back yard garden it could be enticing to include each individual concept in there and fill it up with everything else you'd like. But by having a lesser number of physical objects and much more observable ground, the area would seem a bit more enticing and much less contrived. A superb way to gain some room or space, is by positioning planting containers in groupings in just one or 2 locations vs spreading each container through the backyard.
You don't have to involve every last strategy. Implementing some or maybe even one will get you going in the appropriate route to making your tiny back garden look bigger than it is actually.
